Outline - Scene Cards

This article explains how to use Scene Cards in the Outline section of Plottr on Desktop and Web.

Editing Scene Cards

To edit scene cards in the Outline:

1. Click on the Scene Card you wish to edit 
2. Update the Scene Card title and/or text
3. Click the "Close" button to save

Ordering Scene Cards

There are two ways to order scene cards in the Outline: 

• By dragging and dropping them vertically within the Outline Content area
• By dragging them into the Chapter Sidebar

Vertical Ordering

To vertically drag and drop Scene Cards in the Outline Content area:

1. Click and hold on the two bar icon to the left of the Scene Card title
2. Drag the Scene Card up or down the Outline Content area until a space opens up to drop it
3. Drop the Scene Card into the appropriate space

Chapter Ordering

To drag and drop Scene Cards into another Chapter:

1. Click and hold on the two bar icon to the left of the Scene Card title
2. Drag the Scene Card onto a Chapter heading in the Outline Sidebar area
3. Drop the Scene Card into the appropriate Chapter on the Sidebar
4. The Scene Card will now appear in that Chapter in the Outline

Known Limitations

• You cannot currently drag and drop a Scene Card vertically into a Chapter that is empty
