Outline - Linking Characters, Places, Tags

Scene Cards in the Outline can be linked to Characters, Places, and Tags for organization and filtering purposes in the Timeline. This article explains how this works on Plottr for Desktop and Web.

Linking Story Elements to Scene Cards

To link Characters, Places, and Tags to Scene Cards in the Outline:

1. Hover over the Scene Card you wish to update
2. Hover over the word "Characters," "Places," or "Tags" and click the plus (+) button that appears
3. Click on the element you wish to link with the Scene Card 

Unlinking Story Elements from Scene Cards

To unlink Characters, Places, and Tags from Scene Cards in the Outline:

1. Hover over the Scene Card you wish to update
2. Hover over the Character, Place, or Tag you wish to unlink from the Scene Card
3. Click the "X" button within the element you wish to unlink from the Scene Card
