Filtering and Sorting Characters

It’s easy to filter and sort your characters within Plottr, so that you can quickly view those matching your criteria.

Filtering Characters

Characters can be filtered by custom attributes, character categories, connected books, and tags.

To filter your characters:

  1. Click the “Filter” button
  2. Select the elements you’d like to filter by

Note: Filtering in Plottr currently uses OR logic, meaning it will display characters that match ANY of the criteria you have chosen, not ALL of them. (For example, if you select two tags, the notes section will display cards that have any one of them — regardless of whether they have both.)

Sorting Characters

Characters can be sorted by any custom attributes you have created, as well as by their name and description value.

  • To sort your characters, click the “Sort” button and select the criteria you’d like to sort by.
  • You can toggle the sort direction by clicking the criteria again (the arrow by the criteria will alter direction).
