Timeline - Settings

The  Structure button on the Timeline allows you to configure your Chapter Heading default name (e.g. Chapter, Beat, Episode) as well as their design.

Getting Started

When you click on the "Structure" button on the Timeline, you will open a window that looks like this, with the following options:

  • Name: Update the heading title that auto-populates along the top of the Timeline - this is Chapter by default.
  • Text Color: Update the color of the heading titles on the Timeline
  • Text Size: Update the text size of the heading titles on the Timeline
  • Border Color: Update the border color of the heading titles on the Timeline
  • Border Style: Update the border style of the heading titles on the Timeline
  • Background Color: Update the background color of the heading titles on the Timeline

Heading Name

To update the heading title that auto-populates along the top of the Timeline:

  1. Click on the "Structure" button
  2. Click on the current heading title (e.g. Chapter)
  3. Update the name of the heading title
  4. Click "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard to save

Text Color

To update the color of the heading titles on the Timeline:

  1. Click on the "Structure" button
  2. Click on the color icon under "Text Color"
  3. Click on a color within the color menu OR enter a hex code in the top right corner of the color menu and click "Choose"
To return the text color to its original default color, click the yellow remove icon to the right of the color.

Text Size

To update the text size of the heading titles on the Timeline:

  1. Click on the "Structure" button
  2. Click on the number under "Text Size"
  3. Update the number to your preferred size
  4. Click "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard to save

Border Color

To update the border color of the heading titles on the Timeline:

  1. Click on the "Structure" button
  2. Click on the color icon under "Border Color"
  3. Click on a color within the color menu OR enter a hex code in the top right corner of the color menu and click "Choose"
To return the border color to its original default color, click the yellow remove icon to the right of the color.

Border Style

To update the border style of the heading titles on the Timeline:

  1. Click on the "Structure" button
  2. Click on the dropdown menu under "Border Style"
  3. Click on one of the options (none, dashed, solid, dotted)

Background Color

To update the background color of the heading titles on the Timeline:

  1. Click on the "Structure" button
  2. Click on the color icon under "Background Color"
  3. Click on a color within the color menu OR enter a hex code in the top right corner of the color menu and click "Choose"
To return the background color to its original default color, click the yellow remove icon to the right of the color.
