How Do I Transfer Templates to a New Computer?

Here’s how you can currently transfer your saved custom templates from one computer to another:

Accessing Your Templates On the Existing computer:

  1. Open Plottr on desktop
  2. At the top right, click Dashboard > Help to open the Help section of the Dashboard
  3. Enter this customer service code: 16329e
  4. That will open a window of Finder and highlight a file named custom_templates.json
  5. Copy and/or move this file to somewhere where you can transfer it to your new computer

Activating Your Existing Templates On the New computer:

  1. Open Plottr on desktop
  2. At the top right, click Dashboard > Help to open the Help section of the Dashboard
  3. Enter the same customer service code: 16329e
  4. Delete the custom_templates.json file UNLESS you already have custom templates saved on this new computer that you don’t want to lose (if so, please stop and contact us)
  5. Put the custom_templates.json file that you transferred from your old computer into this folder
  6. Restart Plottr

You should now see your custom templates on your new computer!
