Project (Series) - Managing Your Books

This article explains how to add, edit, and delete books from the Project section of Plottr (on Desktop and Web).

Adding Books

You can create new books in your Project with or without starting from a template.

How to Add a Book 

To add a book without starting from a template:

1. Hover over the plus (+) icon in the Books section
2. Click the plus (+) icon to create a new, blank book in your project

How to Add a Book with a Template

To add a book with a template:

1. Hover over the "Start with Template" button in the Books section
2. Click the "Start with Template" button 
3. Click on the template you wish to use
4. Click the "Choose" button to create a new book in your project from a template

Editing Book Details

Once you've created a book in your project, you can easily edit the book's details, such as the title (which will appear on the cover):

1. Hover over the book you wish to edit
2. Click the pencil icon
3. Type in the book's title, premise, genre, and/or theme
4. Click the "Save" button 

Using Cover Images

You can easily add and remove cover images to the books in your series / project.

How to Add Cover Images

To add a cover image to your book:

1. Hover over the book you wish to edit
2. Click the image icon
3. Click "Upload Files" and click "Select a File" OR drag and drop an image from your computer to add it to the image gallery
4. If you already have an image, select it from the "Image Gallery" 
5. Click the "Choose" button

How to Remove Cover Images

To remove a cover image from your book:

1. Hover over the book whose cover you wish to remove
2. Click the remove icon

Organizing Books

To change the order of the books in your Project or Series:

1. Click and hold your mouse cursor on the book you wish to move
2. Drag the book to its proper place 
3. Release your mouse

Deleting Books

To delete books (and all of their data) from your Project or Series:

1. Hover over the book you wish to edit
2. Click the trash icon
3. Click the "Delete" button to confirm
